Editor's note: This configuration appears to be the perfect mould around which one could build a more permanent adobe or stone structure, too.  The builder could leave the Aradou structure intact on the inside of the adobe or stone structure to serve as insulating interior wall and moisture barrier, behind which one could hide the wiring and plumbing.

Otherwise put, how many housekeepers would wish to have an interior PVC wall one could wipe clean with a damp cloth?.

Twin 850-MW Hydro Plants to be
Built in Israel

Report Date: 06/27/2007         Expires: 06/30/2010

The Ministry of National Infrastructures is expected to advance the construction of hydroelectric plants. According to plans, in the coming years, pumped-storage hydroelectric plants are expected to provide 5-8% of electricity demand in Israel.

Israel's economic newspaper Globes reported on June 25, 2007 that the Ministry of National Infrastructures is expected to advance hydroelectric plants.  According to plans, in the coming years, pumped-storage hydroelectric plants are expected to provide 5-8% of electricity demand in Israel.

In recent discussions between the Ministry of National Infrastructures and the Electricity Authority, it has been decided to speed-up the establishment of pumped-storage hydroelectric plants in order to handle electricity deficiency during peak hours. It appears that the Electricity Economy Development Plan will include at least two large projects, one in the North and the other in the South, for establishment of pumped-storage hydroelectric plants with a 400 MW capacity each. The investment in the plants is estimated at NIS 800 million (approximately $200 million) to NIS 1.2 billion (approximately $300 million.)

Editor's note: these are to be part of the huge Dead Sea Med-to-Red Sea project, which also will include massive desalinization project construction for the benefit of Israel, Jordani an and Palestinian agriculture. Please see http://www.tahal.com, the designers of this project which was initially Rutenberg's and Jabotinsky's vision for Israel: you'll be bidding to Tahal for this work, as they most likely shall be the general contractors for this job, unless MNI have completely lost their minds.  Tahal is the best.
